Chief Executive/Executive Director

Peter has over 25 years business experience in business consulting, international investment and trade and commerce in Australia and overseas for private and public sector organisations. Peter's special skills are in the areas of business strategy, sales and marketing, workplace culture change and process improvement. Peter was appointed by IRIS Research Chairman to assist in management with its transition in mid- 2015 and was subsequently appointed to the position of Chief Executive. His strong strategic and interpretative skills expand IRIS Research?s analytical capability.

Dr Hande Akman B.Sc. (Statistics), MBR (Research), PhD Marketing

Research Manager/Senior Associate

Dr Akman oversees survey methodology, questionnaire design, survey design, analysis and reporting. Hande joined IRIS Research having completed her PhD in marketing at University of Adelaide. A seasoned market researcher with almost 20 years experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical, finance, manufacturing and ITC and community sectors in Australia and overseas, Hande brings a wealth of qualitative and quantitative market research capability to this project. Hande will drive market research design, statistical analysis and reporting, as well as management and oversight of the research team.

Geoff Besnard, B Math

Systems Analyst/Programmer

Geoff has over 20 years experience in programming and systems design. He has operated his own consultancy and is responsible for the updating and refinement of all IRIS data systems. Geoff has written all the software for our purpose designed CATI system which features questionnaire design, editing and streaming of responses, control of number presentation, call outcome monitoring, along with system performance and interviewer monitoring. He has recently added full web survey functionality to the system. Geoff has considerable experience in sampling methodology and has helped take IRIS Research to the very leading edge of industry best practice in this critical component of effective Social Research.

Lisa Cratchley, Cert 4 Small Business Mgmt, Dip.Legal Services, Criminology (partially-completed)

Administration Officer / Administration

Lisa will provide administration support, data coding and report proofing. Lisa joined IRIS Research in early 2016 to provide administration and project support. She is responsible for office administration including Payroll, AR/AP and contributes to projects by research and project support. With seven years' experience working in law firms, she has an acute eye for detail and is highly efficient in office and project management as well as data coding.

Judy Ohlbach

Project Senior Interview Supervisor, Senior Fieldwork Supervisor

Judy has over 10 years experience as an interviewer, team leader and supervisor at IRIS. She has developed high levels of proficiency in both face to face and telephone interviewing and a specialty in senior corporate in-depth interviewing. Judy has recruited and trained over 100 interviewers and supervises all survey work conducted in our CATI facility and all face to face interviewing. Judy has undergone training in IQCA Procedures and has undertaken various MRSA courses including Introduction to Quantitative Research. In addition, she has completed Cert II in Teleservices and is undertaking Cert IV in Workplace training & assessment.

IRIS Casual Interview Staff

IRIS does not contract out field work. We have a large pool of experienced interviewers who have been trained at IRIS. All of our interviewers have extensive telephone and face to face interview experience. Many of our interviewers have more than 5 years experience at IRIS.
